This has long been a popular barrel profile for the AR15/M16 platform as it offers rifle length sighting for improved accuracy while retaining a carbine length barrel’s lighter weight and ease of handling. This 16” barrel is turned with an M4 profile with a low profile gas block functioning in the carbine position. A full A2 front sight base is positioned at the rifle length with a triangular handguard cap, sling swivel, front sight post , front sight detent, and bayonet lug included. It also includes the Barrel Extension with M4 Feed Ramps. This premium barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium 11595E Steel, Chrome Lined in both Bore and Chamber for long wear and ease of cleaning and Black Manganese Phosphate finished for protection against rust and corrosion. Button rifling (1 turn in 9 inches – right hand twist) offers optimum accuracy with a wide range of .223 / 5.56mm ammunition. The muzzle is threaded 1/2” x 28 T.P.I. to accept a variety of flash hiders or muzzle brakes.
